The Power of a Clean Slate

Tabula Rasa to Super Bloom Your Future

Hello Dearest My Comma + Femtech Salon Community!

I write to you all both with fatigue and happiness. Like the Californian Super Bloom, our time is full of golden promise with intense milestones ahead. Our collaborations with Orrick, Hawke Media, Neuehouse, FWin Productions, and others have unfolded fresh opportunities that I never could have imagined this time nine months ago.

And while wading through the flowering opportunities has been inspiring and invigorating—it has at times—threatened to overwhelm us and distract us from staying on course during a critical year. This seems to resonate with other femtechs, investors, colleagues, and college graduates as our conversations have been focused on how to thrive this year. The simmering frustration of knowing what to do next in such an unpredictable year has been immobilizing to some while confusing to others.

Publicly, we have seen the impacts of strategic cost reduction as a go to response from the market. However, I can only offer the exercise to step back and understand our impact: allowing ourselves the freedom, space, and time to ideate with a tabula rasa or clean slate, to validate what makes sense and if our previous goals and current opportunities are still relevant to strive toward our future.

This opportunity to architect our next steps by creating unlimited space outside our assumptions, constructs, and goals in the latest market maelstrom crystallized our approach. It extended us to embrace a wider future with an accelerated timeline—building a pre-accelerator for femtech founders for a cohort at the end of this year.

As a recent development, I have been speaking this into existence with you all and will have more exciting news to share next fall as we gather our allies to move mountains together. If you are interested in building with us—let’s connect!

With grit and creativity,

Rachael
